How many times have you heard me say, the app world is extremely competitive and it is vital that you learn how to market your Android app and get a plan into place before you begin creating your Android app business? I believe that I have said this thousands of times before and I am going to reiterate this point again today for all you newbies out there.
With thousands of apps all fighting to get downloaded, how do you make sure your app is the one that gets spotted? How do you make sure that your Android app is the one that goes viral? How can you make sure that everyone is talking about your app? How do you make sure that your app users tell their friends about your app and share the app around? Today we are going to take a quick look at the basics of Android app marketing.
1: Be unique – Does the world really need a hundred apps that all have the same content? No, of course not, and if your app is the same as everyone else’s app then you will have little to no chance of getting your app downloaded, you need to have a unique twist to your app and make sure that you clearly state why your app is different in the app download page.
2: Get social – You need to be the friendly, funny and informative person on all your social networks and the person that people want to interact with. Get involved in conversations, get your views across, show your humorous side. The more people interact with you the more they are likely to trust you and to download your app. You will not only be building a friendship base, you will be building loyalty and loyalty brings more downloads and encourages your friends to share details about you.
3: Get blogging – Make sure that you are not only constantly updating your own blog but are also appearing on other blog sites that are subject related to your app. Many people love to sit and read a blog post or two around the subject of their desire so make sure that you appear to this audience and entice them to join you on your blog and your social pages to chat more about the subject, this will reel them in before they decide to download the app
4: Build an audience before launching – That’s right, you don’t want to be launching to no-one, that would be really depressing waiting for the trickle of downloads to start to appear. Get your app audience ready before the app is ready to be launched, start working on your charm and make some pre-release offers and get that loyalty built early….don’t forget to do the daily countdown to launch day.
Once you have understood the basics of how to market your Android app you will find yourself in a much more confident position to start planning your app business and Android app success
